Join our team as a Narrative Designer

Hi there! We're Team Vesper, and we empower anyone to create their own role-playing video game. All you need to do is write. Versed generates immersive locations, diverse characters, and challenging gameplay.

We turn words into worlds. Our goal is to make game development accessible to anyone, and we're launching soon.

Our team previously worked at places like Google and Unity. We're supported by experienced investors and operators in both the game and tech industry.

We're fully remote and welcome applications from people based anywhere in Europe. Our team members are currently in cities like Edinburgh, Amsterdam, and Copenhagen.

We're a startup who's culture is based on accepting change, being agile, operating remotely, staying mindful, showing empathy, and embracing diversity.

We are currently not accepting new applications.

The role:

You'll help our creators design the narrative that connects with their fans and builds great new worlds. You're a chief editor, a game designer, and a community manager in one.

Some days, you'll be rewriting tricky interactions to make sure the player has the most fun. Others, you're the sparring partner for a creator to help them navigate the building blocks of games on platform, eventually updating blocks to be more modular or creation completely new ones. It's like Lego, but for eloquent nerds.

You'll also be the sounding board for our team as we introduce new storytelling features and narrative gameplay. Often, you'll bring your own findings to the table, helping shape the platform and framework that creates better games.

You'll work directly with one of our co-founders to help create hundreds of new games, probably millions in the long run.
